| Hello everyone, I stayed at Toorbunna with the Elizabeth College school group in mid-August. We had a fantastic time. Thanks for allowing us to stay. I have misplaced a small blue padded soft case containing a multi-tool (sentimental), head torch, batteries, and compass among other things. | The main switchboard had water through it from a leak in the bathroom above which is now fixed. Please connect one of the blower heaters directly to the generator to dry this for some hours before connecting power to the lodge. The heaters are stored in the right hand upstairs cupboard. | ||

| From Snow Sports Good news again, it is snowing, bad news is, it is so bloody windy up here it would blow the skin off the custard. Horrible out, if you can pick another day like tomorrow the winds may have dropped by then. Snow down to the main road, the grader is grading the upper area, so please be aware that it us operating. We are open of course, doing our own thing, hire, shuttle bus and hot food and coffee. Shuttle bus operating, just don't know where from as yet, Geoff out assessing all that now. Just a tip too, if you are waiting for the shuttle bus from the top back to your car, you can wait in the day shelter, it is warmer and you just watch for the shuttle coming along the plateau road. | Spent Tue and Wed night (8-10 Oct school hols) at lodge with family. All good with the lodge but right hand side gas cylinders empty and swapped to left three. Wed night was incredibly wet and windy outside. Still a few small drifts of snow in the deep lees behind large rock faces. Left a black and white double doona cover (japanese characters print) and 2 pillows with plain pillow cases in lounge when packing up to head home today. | Success for the Club in the Junior Races, Gabrielle Larsson won the Talaria Ski Club Trophy for 1st place Girls 9 to 11, well done Gabrielle. | Have just arrived back from a glorious weekend on Ben. Saturday we woke to perfect blue skies, no wind and dry snow, groomed slopes throughout, including the back slopes. Undoubtably the best skiing conditions this century so where were YOU. We presently have a Working Bee Levy which most of you appear to pay rather than attending a Working Bee. We are contemplating applying a Skiing Bee Levy for any member who has not skied on Ben for two consecutive seasons of skiable conditions. This will reduce our Carbon Footprint as Member body heat, would offset our Gas and Wood usage. Thus a No Ski Carbon Tax, this would make us better citizens and Toorbunna could boast to be a world leader in Ski Resort Footprint Reductin | ||

| Very cold up here, it took about 3 hours to get most of the water moving. I should have 1 toilet working soon. The lodge was properly closed down. The snow is not that thick but is of excellent quality, all lifts should operate at the weekend, the forecast for the rest of the week is very favourable.
